The short version: DoseMind keeps your medication data on your device. We don't run accounts, we don't have servers that store your health information, and we don't sell, share, or track anything you enter. There's nothing to leak because we never collect it.
DoseMind ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal medication tracker that helps you remember doses, manage your medication list, and review your adherence over time. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. By using DoseMind you agree to the practices described here.
To do its job, DoseMind stores the information you enter, such as:
This data is stored locally on your device in the app's private, encrypted storage. It is never transmitted to us, and we have no ability to see, access, or recover it.
Nothing. DoseMind does not require an account, email address, phone number, or sign-in. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, cookies, fingerprinting, or crash-reporting tools that would send your information off the device. We collect no personal data and no health data.
Under Apple's App Privacy and Google's Data Safety frameworks, the app's data-collection classification is "Data Not Collected."
If you enable reminders, DoseMind schedules local notifications on your device using the operating system's notification service. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on-device — the content of a reminder (for example, a medication name) is not sent to us or to any third party. You can turn notifications on or off at any time in your device settings.
DoseMind offers an optional Premium upgrade. If you choose to buy it, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. We never see or store your name, card number, or billing details. The store shares only an anonymous confirmation that a purchase or subscription is active so the app can unlock the corresponding features. Payments are governed by the privacy policy of Apple or Google, as applicable.
DoseMind can generate an adherence report as a PDF so you can share it with your doctor. This happens only when you tap to create it. The report is built on your device and handed to your operating system's share sheet — where it goes next (email, messages, a printer, a saved file) is entirely your choice and controlled by you. We are not involved in and have no visibility into that step.
Because your data lives on your device, it may be included in your own device backups (for example, iCloud Backup or Google's backup service) if you have those enabled. Those backups are managed by Apple or Google under your account and settings, not by DoseMind. Review your device's backup and encryption settings if you wish to control this.
DoseMind does not embed third-party advertising, analytics, or social networking components. The only third parties involved are the platforms that host and, if you purchase Premium, bill for the app — Apple and Google. We do not sell or rent any information to anyone, because we hold none to sell.
You are always in full control of your data. You can view, edit, or delete any medication, dose, or note directly in the app. Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data from your device. Since we never receive your information, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to erase on a server.
Where laws such as the GDPR or CCPA apply, the rights they grant (access, correction, deletion, portability) are satisfied by this on-device model: you already hold, and can export or delete, the only copy of your data.
DoseMind is intended for use by adults, or by a parent or caregiver managing medications on behalf of someone in their care. The app does not knowingly collect any information from children, and because no data leaves the device, none is transmitted to us regardless of who uses it.
Your data is stored in the app's private storage area and protected by your device's built-in encryption and the passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint lock you use for your phone. Keeping your operating system up to date and your device locked is the best way to keep your medication data safe. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but by never moving your data off the device we remove the most common ways health data is exposed.
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Effective" date above and, for significant changes, note it within the app or on our website. Continued use of DoseMind after an update means you accept the revised policy. Previous versions are available on request.
